Saturday, 30th of June, was a long- awaited day, first because the planing seemed promising and second because it gave us the chance to sleep a bit longer. So, with recharged batteries, we headed to Pedra Amarela park in Sintra. Once there, we could choose between two different ways to enjoy the peaceful landscape: tree climbing and walking through the park. In either case, the group spent a great time in the nature!
After lunch, from the forests of Portugal we headed to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point in the continental Europe, had a quick stop taking pictures and continued to Sintra where, we spent a couple of hours walking on the steep streets of Sintra, tasted local pastry and had a nice coffee. By 17:30, the bus took us back to O’Seculo, and from that moment on the group had free time during the rest of the day.
Therefore, eager to feel the Portuguese colours during the World Cup match against Uruguay, the group decided to go to Praça do Comerço square in Lisbon. Thousands of local and foreign people reunited de in front of a huge screen and, even if Portugal didn't win, it was a wonderful way to experience life in Lisbon. Later, since the match made us hungry, we moved to a local restaurant and had some food in the middle of a lively street. Once our stomachs were full, we had the chance to experience some nightlife in Lisbon.
